The Most Understated iPhone 4S Feature: AirPlay Mirroring

Now that the highly anticipated iPhone event has come and gone, it's time to start looking to the future. Pundits and analysts seem to have mixed feelings about Apple's latest handset, but Tim Cook and company are just getting started.

While the iPhone 4S is still an amazing piece of hardware, it was clear that software was the star of yesterday's show. But among the new Cards app and Find My Friends, one software feature was grossly overlooked: AirPlay Mirroring...

The 5 Stages of iPhone 4S Grief

The iPhone 4S is a disappointment to a few people. Some go as far as saying the iPhone 4S sucks! Realistically, and like Alex sarcastically pointed out in his post this morning, I think they're just disappointed at the fact that it's called iPhone 4S and not iPhone 5, and that of course, it uses the same old design as the iPhone 4.

It might be hard for some of you to accept this, and for that reason, Sam Pratt came up with a simple infographic showing the 5 different stages of iPhone 4S grief...

The iPhone 4S Sucks

Look at that piece of crap. The "iPhone 4S." What was Apple thinking? I waited 16 months for this?

Look at it. Sitting there. Looking exactly like the iPhone 4. It's glaring at me like I'm supposed to welcome it with open arms. I hate you, iPhone 4S! You suck.

Why the iPhone 4S Doesn’t Have LTE “4G” Technology

Although Apple touted its new smartphone yesterday as "capable" of 4G-like speeds, the iPhone 4S isn't getting the "4G" label. The handset still essentially uses 3G technology, debunking the last-minute rumors that the device would be LTE-capable.

LTE stands for Long Term Evolution, and it's a common choice for carriers looking to go 4G. The technology has been really popular in Android devices over the last several months, so why didn't we see it in the new iPhone?

Siri Assistant is Dead! Long Live Siri!

Siri Assistant isn't new. The app officially launched in the App Store back in 2010. Shortly after that, Apple bought the company behind it, but kept the app alive in the App Store. But with integration of Siri into the iPhone 4S, what will happen to the app?

Well, it will go away. The app has already been pulled from the App Store, and a goodbye message appears when you launch the app now...

Why Apple Should Support Siri On the Original iPhone 4 [Video]

Siri is Apple's new flagship feature on the iPhone 4S. In fact, they're counting on the iPhone 4S' Siri integration to move units, as it's an exclusive feature to the iPhone 4S.

But what some of you might not realize is this: Siri has already been available for the iPhone for quite some time now, in fact, it was just removed from the App Store in the last 24 hours.

In other words, it works on the original iPhone 4, quite similarly to the way it works on the new iPhone 4S, and we have the video to prove it...

Samsung Wants to Ban the iPhone 4S in France and Italy

And the pissing contest between Samsung and Apple continues. This time, the Korean electronics giant filed requests for preliminary injunction in France and Italy, citing two patent infringements related to wireless telecommunications technology, specifically Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) standards for 3G mobile handsets.

The goal of this legal operation? Blocking the iPhone 4S sales in those two countries...

The iPhone 4S Camera is Incredible, Here’s the Evidence

Apple announced a 8 megapixel camera for the iPhone 4S yesterday, and full-res photos taken on the 4S have been provided on Apple's website for comparison.

Needless to say, the quality of the camera on the 4S is absolutely stunning. The photos you are about to see have allegedly not been tampered with, and it's obvious that the 4S competes with most point-and-shoot cameras on the market. Some would even say that DSLRs have a new competitor...

Why You Want to Buy the iPhone 4S on AT&T

Those keeping up with yesterday's iPhone 4S event probably noticed a rather interesting tidbit saying that Apple's iPhone 4S is, in theory at least, up to twice as fast at downloading data as its older brother, the iPhone 4. That's obviously great news, and Apple sought to inform its audience yesterday that the iPhone 4S can compete with so-called 4G handsets.

The truth of the matter is that yes, the iPhone 4S can (again, theoretically) download data at up to 14.4Mbps, thanks to its use of HSPA+ technology. The problem? AT&T is the only one of Apple's three US carrier partners that actually uses HSPA+...

Apple Clearing Out Current iPhone 4 Inventory With Reduced Prices

Apple announced the 8GB iPhone 4 alongside the iPhone 4S yesterday, and the company is clearing out current iPhone 4 inventory while supplies last.

Customers that are content with purchasing the iPhone 4 can buy the device from Apple for a reduced $149 price point for the 16GB capacity, and $199 for the 32GB capacity. The iPhone 4S retails for the same $199 (16GB) and $299 (32GB) price points that the iPhone 4 was previously priced at...

Jailbreak Hackers Already Working on Porting Siri to the 4G iPod Touch [Updated]

Chances are you probably heard about Siri coming with the iPhone 4S. Many current iPhone 4 users were bummed when Apple announced that it would be a iPhone 4S-only feature.

The jailbreak community is already working on porting Apple's revolutionary Siri technology to the 4G iPod touch. Thanks to iH8sn0w and Gojohnnyboi, hackers have somewhat ported Siri to the previous generation iPod touch already...

Apple Posts Videos of iPhone 4S, iCloud, and Siri

If you've missed today's festivities and want to get the rundown of the event in video format, we've got you covered.

On top of posting video presentations of the new iPhone 4S, iCloud, and the Siri assistant on its website, Apple now has made them available on YouTube, and they're all here for you to watch in one convenient place...
