Seize more control over the official Twitter app with Twitter Labs

The App Store is home to a plethora of third-party alternatives to the official Twitter app; they exist in response to some of the official app’s shortcomings. But if you have a jailbroken iOS device, then you can often tweak the official Twitter app to get precisely what you want out of it.

Enter Twitter Labs, a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Chloee that gives jailbreakers access to a multitude of settings and features that one could only dream of accessing on a stock device.

This tweak lets you move Twitter’s new Tweet composition button wherever you want

In a recent update to the official Twitter app, the social network now requires mobile users to tap a floating button at the bottom-right of the screen to compose a Tweet.

Unfortunately, Twitter doesn’t let users move the floating Tweet composition button out of its default location, but with a new free jailbreak tweak called MovableTweetButton by iOS developer Chloee, you can finally drag it out of your way.

Pwn20wnd releases re-written Osiris jailbreak for developers and other advanced users

iOS hacker Pwn20wnd was played an instrumental role in various iOS 11-centric projects in recent memory, including the Electra and unc0ver jailbreak tools and the Rollectra un-jailbreaking tool. As of this weekend, however, we can add the Osiris jailbreak tool to that list.

Pwn20wnd released a rewrite of the Osiris jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.4 beta 3 Sunday afternoon. Osiris uses Ian Beer’s tried and true iOS 11 exploits to achieve a jailbreak on the aforementioned firmware versions, but unlike other jailbreak tools available already, it doesn’t install Cydia.

Crystal, DarkTables, and other jailbreak tweaks to try this weekend

Jailbreak Tweaks to check out

The jailbreak community is lucky to have Pwn20wnd on its side. After releasing several more updates to unc0ver, the jailbreak tool is now more stable and reliable than ever before, and that’s awesome for anyone who wants to install jailbreak tweaks to customize their device(s).

This roundup will encompass all the jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, November 5th to today, Sunday, November 11th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by talking about our favorite releases first and then wrap things up by outlining the rest afterward.

DarkTables augments iOS pop-up menus with dark mode features and more

While the Mac received an official dark mode option in macOS Mojave, iOS wasn’t so fortunate. You can use the Smart Invert feature on your iPhone to achieve a similar effect, but it’s not a real dark mode in the sense of what many would like to have.

Luckily, the jailbreak community conceived a plethora of dark mode-centric jailbreak tweaks in recent memory that can help, and a new free release called DarkTables by iOS developer dpkg_ is no exception.

Possible JailbreakMe-style jailbreak for iOS 4.0-12.0.1 in the works

If you remember the good old days when you could visit a web page in mobile Safari and swipe your finger over a virtual slider to achieve a jailbreak (yes, I’m pointing at you JailbreakMe), then we’ve got some good news for you.

iOS hacker and developer Sem Voigtländer (@UKERN Software) appears to be working on a JailbreakMe-styled tool that you can visit in mobile Safari that theoretically supports iOS firmware versions from 4.0 to 12.0.1 (*with some exceptions*).

Add more haptic feedback to the official Twitter app with TapticTwitter

I’ve always been a fan of jailbreak tweaks that bring haptic feedback capabilities to unsupported parts of iOS or apps I use frequently, and with that in mind, I couldn’t help but recommend a new free release called TapticTwitter by iOS developer Chloee.

Just as the name implies, TapticTwitter brings some much-needed haptic feedback to the official Twitter app for iOS.

Crystal lets you clear all unread notifications with a pull-down gesture

When you wake up every morning with a stack of unwanted notifications cluttering up your Lock screen and Notification Center interfaces, you might be compelled to clear them all in one fell swoop.

A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Crystal by iOS developer Antique lets you do this with by dragging downward on the Lock screen or Notification Center interface where your notifications appear, as shown in the screenshot examples above.

Pwn20wnd releases unc0ver V1.1.2 to improve exploit success rates

Pwn20wnd’s unc0ver jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.4 beta 3 received a notable update on Sunday with improved success rates for both the Empty_List (VFS) and Multi_Path (MPTCP) exploits that it utilizes to pwn Apple handsets.

Pwn20wnd announced the updated version of unc0ver via his Twitter account, which came just hours after unc0ver V1.1.1:
