As the summer heat reaches its full potential, we are left sweaty, exhausted, and ready for a nice, long weekend. To beat the heat, I’ll be heading to the coast for a comfortable few days of drinking, eating, and playing Cards Against Humanity with 20 of my nerdiest friends. If you've been having trouble logging into your Instagram account this morning, or have noticed any strange photos posted to your stream, you're not alone. Several users are reporting that they've been hacked on the popular photo sharing network.

Reports first started surfacing about the issue on Twitter around 11PM last night, according to a report by The Verge. Users who suffered attacks complained that unauthorized photos along with strange URLs had been posted to their accounts...

U.S. agency offers code-of-conduct for apps collecting user data

Are you concerned about the personal data collected by various mobile apps? A U.S. government agency feels your pain, sort of. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has issued a draft of a voluntary code of conduct it hopes will improve user privacy.

Google+ Local app shutting down next month following Google Maps integration

Free Dailymotion Caméra arrives, get downloading

Dailymotion, a French video-sharing website, today released its first video recording application on the App Store. The aptly named Dailymotion Caméra software can be used to capture, edit and share HD clips across Dailymotion's web, mobile and connected video platforms. Featuring the pause/resume recording functionality, the app also includes the obligatory filters, contrast/brightness controls, is flattened and doesn't cost a dime.
