RC Trackpad turns your iPhone into a trackpad for your Mac

RC Trackpad is a remote app that gives you access to programs on your computer, lets you adjust your music playback, and turns your iPhone or iPad into a trackpad so you can control your computer’s mouse from across the room…

Astro is a Facebook Messenger client for your Mac

I have to admit it. I don’t often connect my third-party OS X chat clients with Facebook. I tend to get really distracted when someone starts messaging me through Facebook, more so than my other chat channels. So, I haven’t tested a lot of Facebook messenger apps.

Astro for Facebook Messenger is an app for your Mac that lets you chat with friends, even when you are offline. It includes native stickers, picture uploads, and even seamless group chat functions. Your productivity levels are about to plummet…

Apple reportedly acquires burst photo app-maker SnappyLabs

Apple has reportedly acquired app developer SnappyLabs, the one-man photo technology startup behind the app SnappyCam. For those unfamiliar with the title, it was a popular camera app that allowed users to take full-resolution pictures at 20 to 30 frames per second.

SnappyCam mysteriously disappeared from the App Store, shortly after founder John Papandriopoulos announced that he had achieved a breakthrough with “discrete cosine transform JPG science.” He essentially reinvented the JPG image format, and word has it Apple wanted in…

Fox, CBS to live stream Super Bowl and NFC/AFC playoff coverage on the web and iOS

Just like last year and the year before (and 2011, for that matter), football die-hards in the United States will once again be able to watch the NFC and AFC playoff games and follow live Super Bowl XLVIII coverage on the web and via their iOS devices, thanks to Fox and CBS.

But unlike before, Fox will not require a paid cable subscription to live stream the Super Bowl through their Fox Sports Go iOS app.

NFC playoff games, however, will still require authentication through your cable service provider such as Comcast, AT&T U-Verse, Cablevision and others...

This app will fix your wallpaper scaling issues in iOS 7

Since the launch of iOS 7, adding custom wallpaper from your photo library has become a complete pain in the back. When you find the perfect pic and assign it to your Home or Lock screen, it always zooms in way closer than you wanted it to be, cutting of heads, or generally ruining a perfect composition.

Wallpaper Fix is an app that corrects that problem, letting you display your family photos behind your list of apps without worrying about cutting little Sarah off at the knees…

AppLocker: Secure individual apps with Touch ID

A beta build of a new jailbreak tweak with a highly anticipated premise landed in my email inbox late this afternoon, and it's marvelous. AppLocker is a jailbreak tweak that has existed for quite some time, but its beta build was just recently updated to include Touch ID support for locking individual apps.

After trying the Touch ID implementation on my jailbroken iPhone 5s, I can happily report that it works just as well as I imagined. Unlocking is brisk, and seamless. The Touch ID support works with the fingerprints that you already have assigned during the Touch ID initial setup, so there's not a lot of cumbersome configuration to be had with AppLocker.

But enough talking. You have to see how AppLocker works for yourself. Check out  our exclusive hands-on video after the break.
