Readdle’s Black Friday promo slashes up to 50% off popular productivity apps

Readdle, the Ukrainian developer behind some of the best iOS productivity apps such as Calendars, PDF Expert and Scanner Pro, doesn't do sales often.

But when they do, there must be a very good reason and I can't think of a better reason than Black Friday.

Starting on Thursday, November 27 and lasting 48 hours only, Readdle's premium productivity applications are available discounted by up to 50 percent. In addition to discounts on Calendars 5, Scanner Pro, PDF Expert 5, Printer Pro and PDF Converter, their Ultimate Productivity Bundle has been marked down, too.

Pixelmator, the powerful Photoshop replacement for the Mac and iPad, has gone half price ahead of Black Friday tomorrow. Sébastien yesterday posted a running list of iOS apps and games on sale this week, but Pixelmator definitely deserve's a post of its own due to its tremendous popularity and quality.

Shopping on Amazon has never been so beautiful with Canopy for iPhone

Not sure about you, but holidays always stress me out. More Black Friday deals than I could possibly process isn't the worst part, it's hunting for great gifts that's both time-consuming and exhausting.

If you find yourself filling up your iPhone with screenshots and wasting storage space, then you might be interested in this new app called Screeny. Weather Or Not provides weather forecast for your upcoming calendar events

When the weather gets colder, I get grouchier. Even though the crisp autumn air clears the city of pollen and reminds me that the holidays are just around the corner, I still find myself wanting to hide out under a warm blanket for the next four months.

Weather Or Not is a weather app that connects to your calendar to tell you just how cold (or warm) it will be right during events, so you can plan your winter garb accordingly. No more showing up at picnics without an umbrella. Plus, the iOS 8 extension gives you the forecast at a glance.

FRAMED review: rewrite the plot to this espionage story

I love when new games come out that completely defy their genres. It's not that I don’t enjoy traditional games, but titles that break from the norm are bold, brave, and refreshing.

FRAMED is one of those games that is unique enough to feel like a whole new genre, but work within the context of familiarity so as not to scare you away. We’ve got a full game review of FRAMED for you today.

Vine update brings per-account push alerts

Twitter-owned Vine, a video service optimized for sharing six-second long looping video clips, on Tuesday received a small update. Bumping the iPhone app to version 3.1, it introduced enhanced push notifications with the ability to choose push alerts on a per-account basis.

Folks who have tons of followers on Vine are frequently inundated with alerts each time someone shares a clip on Vine, revines a vine, comments on it and what not.

There's nothing worse than being overwhelmed and having to cope with unwanted notifications. The team is feeling your pain so they've put together this little feature where you get a notification whenever your favorite contacts post on Vine.
