Foundation is one of the biggest, boldest series on Apple TV+ right now. And that comes alongside another bombastic show like See (which is, for obvious reasons, far more grounded). The show based on the series of novels written by Isaac Asimov has a lot of story to tell, and it looks like one season is not going to cut it.
We're not that far away from Apple giving the green light to orders for the Apple Watch Series 7. The brand new smartwatch, which features a larger display among other changes, is set to launch on Friday, October 8. But, oddly enough, if you were to go to Apple's website and try to find out how much each model costs, you'd come up empty handed.
The Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging service is now testing end-to-end encryption for iCloud backups. The feature was designed to protect your chat archive while it's being uploaded to or downloaded from iCloud and stored on Apple's servers (at rest).
Joseph Gordon-Levitt brought the TV series Mr. Corman to Apple TV+ back in August of this year. The show recently aired its first season finale, which would normally lead to expectations for a second season debut. Especially when it comes to Apple TV+, which, up to this point, hasn't gone out of its way to cancel many shows. But we can count Gordon-Levitt's series as one of the few.
After an initial report that told us Chris Miller and Phil Lord, of The Lego Movie fame, were working on a murder mystery comedy for Apple TV+, things went dark. And that was way back in June of last year. But now, all this time later, we not only know when the new series will arrive on Apple's streaming service, but we also have the first teaser trailer.
Next year's iPhone 14 models could retain rather than get rid of the notch entirely, despite the upcoming handsets predicted to adopt a hole-punch design like some Androids.
It certainly feels like Apple is putting a concerted effort into bringing as much kid-friendly (and family-friendly) content to Apple TV+ as it can. And today it gets to add yet another to the list. Well, technically this one was confirmed back in May of this year, but now we finally know when kids are finally going to be able to watch it.
New CarPlay features for deeper in-car integration that Apple is allegedly developing as we speak reportedly include, among others, controlling air conditioning and adjusting seats.
It's probably safe to say that iOS 15 has had a fair share of pain points since its public launch back in September. Interestingly, one of those was Apple's decision to . . . aggressively switch between macro photography and not. Some reviewers pointed it out that it was a bit of an issue, but Apple was pretty quick to say that a fix was incoming.
Moving right along, as Apple continues its march towards the public release of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1. To get there, though, we need more betas. And today, we have a new one for developers.
A future iPad Pro model is probably going to get an OLED display at some point in the future. Even after Apple's transition to mini-LED, the rumor mill has not given up on OLED. And apparently neither has Apple. And a new report says the new display will be pretty durable and great to look at.
