Popular iOS app Workflow announced on Tuesday support for the Apple Watch, to bring automation to activities on your wrist.
"Workflows automate things you do every day by connecting your favorite apps and services together. Now workflows can help you do less with your phone, and more from your wrist," Workflow wrote on its new Apple Watch website.
Developer AgileBits on Tuesday announced an update to its freemium password-management app for the iPhone and iPad, 1Password, which now includes Apple Watch compatibility.

Apple has opened up early Apple Watch access to more developers ahead of its April 24 launch, reports the Financial Times. The company had previously allowed select, high profile developers to visit its Cupertino campus and use working versions of the device, but within the last two weeks it has expanded the offer to ~20 devs per day.
The program is huge for developers, allowing them to test their apps on a working device, rather than the Mac-based simulator Apple released last year. It's also very secretive, as entrants are asked to sign strict non-disclosure agreements, and forced to work in conference rooms draped with curtains and guarded by Apple security.
We're indeed starting to see the first wave of updates to popular iPhone applications that bring out support for the Apple Watch. First was Target with an iPhone app update which brings the shopping list and more to your wrist.
And now Evernote, the popular note-taking and personal organization tool, along with WeChat, Dark Sky, Sky Guide and other apps, has added several interesting Apple Watch features to its iPhone and iPad app in the App Store.
Target may files as the first company to update its iOS app with official support for the Apple Watch, which goes on pre-order on April 10 before hitting store shelves two weeks later.
Now rolling out in the App Store, Target 7.3.1 for the iPhone will let you build a shopping list on your Apple Watch and includes a Glance to see when your store is open.

Online retail giant Amazon is working on an official Apple Watch app that will permit its users to purchase goods on Amazon.com right from their wrist, TechCrunch reported Friday.
“The company does have an Apple Watch version of its mobile shopping app in the works, we understand,” reads the report.

The number of apps that Apple has given some exposure to is quite large, so instead of going through them all here we're going to highlight some of the apps that we are particularly looking forward to or just simply think look awesome. There are more on the way too, with developers working hard to be on the App Store come day one.
Apple's big Watch event saw the arrival of a whole new MacBook as well as some Apple TV stuff and an entry into the world of medical research, but it's clear which of these everyone was the most interested in. Having announced the Apple Watch during the iPhone event late last year, yesterday was when we got our best look yet at what the Apple Watch will be able to do as well as how much it will cost. We also now know when we will be able to get our hands on one - it ships April 24th.

Apple has shared a collection of the Apple Watch's built-in apps as well as some third-party offerings, and they look rather scrumptious.
