xNotiLockColor: change the colors of Lock screen notifications

xNotiLockColor is a new tweak that allows you to change up the colors present on Lock screen notifications. It's a simple tweak that allows you to individually alter the primary color, secondary color, subtitle, time/slide, and separator colors for Lock screen notification messages.

Each section contains over a dozen different color selections to choose from and you can combine multiple colors to come up with some pretty wacky Lock screen looks. Have a glance at our video demo inside to see how easy it is.

On a recent article that I wrote, a reader was surprised after reading that I am generally disinterested by a lot of jailbreak tweaks. It might not make sense, given that I write for a blog that is consistently on top of covering the jailbreak scene. Allow me to explain: it's not that jailbreak tweaks do not pique my interest, but rather that some are simply too complex or cumbersome to provide a meaningful purpose.

That's not to discount the fantastic work that developers put into creating jailbreak tweaks. There are just as many good tweaks as there are less impressive ones. iOS 7 security flaw allows for Lock screen bypass in seconds

A new security flaw has been discovered that allows for the Lock screen on iOS 7.1.1 to be bypassed in just seconds. The vulnerability provides access to any app that was left open before the device was locked, such as Mail or Messages, but a prompt appears to re-enter your Lock screen passcode if you attempt to navigate to the Home screen or elsewhere. iOS 8 puts app shortcuts on the Lock screen based on your location

Another handy improvement we've discovered in iOS 8 deals with location tracking improvements.

Apparently, Apple's upcoming mobile operating system puts an app icon right on the Lock screen whenever in a vicinity of a location that has a corresponding app in the App Store. Just walk up to a nearby Apple Store and an app icon appears on the Lock screen. Same for places like Tesco and Vons.

"When Location Services is turned on, the device's current location is used to recommend relevant apps on the lock screen," as per iOS 8 release notes. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record. In the last few months, I have covered an endless amount of Lock screen extensions, ranging from LockInfo7 and LockScreen Informer to Convergance and Forecast. In the most recent Let's Talk Jailbreak podcast episode, our own Jeff Benjamin was very vocal about LockScreen Informer in particular, noting that it had several features but not the most impressive design.
