Indulge adds top free and top paid tweak charts to Cydia

Indulge is a brand-new first-of-its-kind jailbreak tweak that allows users to view the most popular Cydia releases based on aggregate user install data.

Cydia has never had a way to view the most popular jailbreak tweaks available for download, but with the recent 1.1.19 update, it can now do that and a whole lot more. Cydia Installer 1.1.23 released to support package downgrades, find extensions, and more

Another day, another big Cydia release. Cydia 1.1.23 brings some big changes to the table, as saurik has added package downgrade support, the ability to use find extensions like TweakHub.

The update also fixes a crashing issue that occurs after clearing caches. Doing so would cause Cydia not to be able to run at all.

Needless to say, this is a pretty large update for Cydia users, and has long-term positive implications on jailbreakers and their Cydia usage habits. Have a look at our post for the full change log.

Upcoming Switch2 tweak brings a reimagined App Switcher to iOS 8

There have been tons of App Switcher tweaks to land on Cydia over the years, but this is certainly one of the more unique looking ones to appear in quite some time. Entitled Switch 2, this upcoming jailbreak tweak brings an expanding-card interface to the iOS App Switcher.

Switch 2's interface makes it so that you can view up to three apps at the same time, and dismiss apps using simple swipe gestures. Convergence developer, Matt Clarke, has put together a video preview of Switch2 in action. Check it out and let us know what you think about it.

Poll: Does a Mac version of TaiG even matter at this point?

The TaiG jailbreak for either iOS 8.3 or iOS 8.4 has been out for over two and a half weeks. Many users have jailbroken their iPhone, iPads, and iPod touches as a result.

Even though the TaiG tool has been Windows-only this entire time, plenty of Mac-only jailbreakers have been able to use it by means of a Bootcamp partition, or a virtual machine—which is far and away the most popular way to jailbreak on a Mac.

So the question stands to be asked: do you even care about a Mac version of TaiG at this point? Rumors are swirling that a Mac tool is indeed in the works, but it's been so long, I imagine most who were starving for a jailbreak either used a friend's Windows computer, or took advantage of one of the above options.

TaiG releases the 2.4.1 public version of its iOS 8.4 jailbreak tool

Earlier today, TaiG released version 2.4.1 beta of its iOS 8.4 jailbreak tool on Windows. This update was aimed at fixing the frustrating 60% hangup issues that occurred during the jailbreak process.

Well under 24 hours later, and TaiG has upgraded the beta jailbreak tool to a public version. As such, the TaiG team is recommending that all new jailbreakers use version 2.4.1 instead of previous versions.
