How to add Panorama and Time-Lapse 3D Touch shortcuts to the Camera app

By default, the stock Camera app features four 3D Touch quick action shortcuts: Take Selfie, Record Video, Record Slo-mo, and Take Photo. One of the reasons that only four shortcuts are displayed, is because 3D Touch quick actions are limited to up to four items.

A couple of new tweaks from developer PoomSmart help to increase this threshold and add two new shortcuts to the stock Camera app. UnlimShortcut is a jailbreak tweak that expands the amount of quick action shortcuts available for use with any app, effectively removing the four shortcut limit. A second tweak, CamTouch, is the tweak that actually adds the two additional shortcuts to the stock Camera app specifically.

Winterized wallpapers for iPhone and Apple Watch

As we roll into the final parts of the year, the weather is beginning to cool down, at least for the northern hemisphere. With the cold weather comes Christmas and snow. Winter is my favorite season and, not coincidentally, my favorite weather related wallpaper.

Inside we have a set of new wallpapers by crowd favorite, @AR72014. Additionally, there is a curated list of previous year's wallpaper posts, featuring winterized selections. Step below the fold for your latest Wallpapers of the Week downloads.

Skitch for iOS, Clearly and Evernote for Pebble to be discontinued on January 22

Evernote earlier in the week announced discontinuing Skitch for iOS, Windows, Windows Touch and Android. Skitch is a free app for annotating and marking up photos and documents. On OS X, Evernote will continue to offer and support Skitch, a free download in the Mac App Store.

In addition, the company also plans on winding down Clearly, a browser extension for simplifying online articles to make them more readable, as well as Evernote for Pebble.

Skitch, Evernote for Pebble and Clearly will be provided in the App Store by January 22, 2016, after which they will no longer be available for download.

How to frame and shoot photos directly from the Home screen using 3D Touch [jailbreak]

One of the perks of having a jailbroken iPhone 6s is that you can combine 3D Touch with many of the newest jailbreak tweaks to come up with unique new features. One such feature, the ability to frame and take photos directly from the iOS Home screen, is made possible using a jailbroken iPhone 6s and a recently released tweak.

The tweak is entitled Point-And-Shoot, and it is capable of enhancing the stock 3D Touch shortcuts for the Camera app with a live camera viewfinder placed right on the Home screen. You can then use the Home screen viewfinder to frame your shots and snap photos on the fly.

DeleteCut: a jailbreak tweak that lets you quickly delete entire words

After holding the Delete key on your iOS keyboard for a few seconds to delete text, you'll notice that iOS will begin to delete entire words to save time. Wouldn't it be nice if, instead of waiting for it to kick in, you could immediately invoke entire word deletion using a keyboard modifier?

That's the basic premise behind DeleteCut. It's a jailbreak tweak that allows you to quickly delete whole words when pressing the Delete key while holding the Shift key. If you're a prolific typer, then this free jailbreak tweak is bound to save you some time.

Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour Live launches exclusively on Apple Music

Taylor Swift's Apple Music exclusive is now available for Apple Music subscribers. The 1989 World Tour Live is a film that captures a portion of the Australian leg of Swift's ridiculously popular 1989 World Tour. The Tour, which was created to support the album of the same name, was a global success. Now that it's over, fans can reflect on the experience thanks to Swift's partnership with Apple Music.

How to add the native iOS share sheet to the YouTube app [jailbreak]

It's almost 2016, and the official YouTube app is still relying on its antiquated built-in sharing options instead of the native iOS 9 share sheet that most modern apps use on the platform. Sadly, Google insists on keeping its design language in many of its apps, even though it looks out of place on iOS. Not only that, but YouTube's built-in sharing options are a lot less functional and flexible.

With Native YouTube Share, a free jailbreak tweak available on Cydia's BigBoss repo, you can force the YouTube app to use the stock iOS 9 sharing sheet when sharing videos.

Score a new Apple TV (32GB) for only $99 at local Radio Shack stores

If you're like me, the most surprising thing about that headline might be that Radio Shack brick and mortar stores still exist. But they do, and if you have one near you, you may be able to score Apple's recently released Apple TV 4 for only $99. That's a cool $50 off the retail price of the 32GB model.

This is a great deal, and it's by far the cheapest we've seen the new Apple TV going for. If you've yet to upgrade, now would be the time to seriously consider doing so.

Eleven 3D Touch shortcuts in Messages for iPhone

There's no question that 3D Touch really does make the iPhone's Multi-Touch user interface multidimensional. By varying the degree of pressure applied to the screen of your iPhone, you can preview emails, websites, locations, messages and a variety of other items in Apple's stock apps.

In this tutorial, we're going to lay out 3D Touch basics in Messages before moving on to all of the items you can preview in your conversations.
