These tweaks remove the page bounce effects from Control & Notification Center

If you’ve been on iOS 10 long enough, then you are probably familiar with the ‘bounce’ animation that occurs whenever you swipe between pages in either Control Center or Notification Center. They’re most pronounced when you hit a dead end and attempt to keep swiping.

Not everyone is a fan of the bounciness, so a developer named Callum Yarnold created two new jailbreak tweaks dubbed CCNoPageBounce and NCNoPageBounce to help negate these animations.

As first noted by TechCrunch, Discover People basically encourages Facebook users to add any missing pieces of information to their profile, browse a list of upcoming events to see who else may also be going, check out people in their city they're not yet friends with or browse people who share the same employer.

How to enter No Substrate Mode on the iOS 10 jailbreak

Now that yalu102 has been out a while, along with its unstable predecessor for iOS 10.0-10.1.1, many of our readers will no doubt be running one of these two jailbreaks. As is always the case with a jailbreak on a new iOS version, many tweaks are not yet updated, and some can cause crashes or even bootloops.

It is consequently useful to be able to get into No Substrate Mode, to be able to escape tweak-related crashes and remove offending tweaks. The process has changed slightly since the days of the untethered jailbreak due to the fact that current semi-untethered tools do not boot into a jailbroken state. In this guide, we'll show you how No Substrate Mode is accessed on the Yalu jailbreaks.

How to SSH into your device from a Mac and change your root password

Sometimes it is necessary to connect to your mobile device from a computer, for troubleshooting purposes or to use a tool which runs from the computer. For example, tihmstar's Prometheus suite downgrades your device by sending commands to it from the computer on which it, and the files it uses, are stored. The connection used to do this is called SSH, and is normally provided by the OpenSSH package (or an equivalent client such as Dropbear).

In this guide we will show you how to use SSH to connect to your device from your computer. We will also go through how to change the default passwords on your device, because once you have installed OpenSSH, anyone can log in using the default passwords if you do not change them. This is a major security risk, and so everyone who has OpenSSH installed should follow this procedure.
