Swift Playgrounds gains editing tweaks, 5 new languages, MapKit support & more

Apple announced today that Swift Playgrounds, its free iPad app aimed at teaching kids and students the basics of coding in Swift, has gained some new features. Aside from being available in five additional languages—Simplified Chinese, Japanese, French, German and Latin American Spanish—the new version sports editing improvements and supports the MapKit and Swift 3.1 code in your playgrounds.

Apple just doubled iPhone SE storage without raising prices

As part of announcing iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition in a new vibrant red aluminum finish, Apple this morning said that iPhone SE, its most affordable handset ever, is now available with double the storage at the same starting price of $399 in the United States.

The new 32 and 128-gigabyte capacities have replaced the previous 16GB and 64GB models of iPhone SE which are no longer sold. The new 32/128 GB iPhone SE models will be available beginning Friday, March 24 from apple.com and Apple Stores.

Apple launches Spring-themed Apple Watch bands, Nike Sport straps now sold separately

Apple today expanded its offering of first-party Apple Watch bands with all-new Spring-themed straps. Featuring a new Striped Woven Nylon band, among the other ones, the new bands are available to order starting today from apple.com and for purchase at select Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and carriers in late March.

Additionally, Nike Sport bands can now be purchased separately and the beautifully crafted Apple Watch Hermès bands are now available in striking new colors, too.

Choose the default email app on your iPhone with MailClientDefault10

Most iOS users utilize the Mail app on their device by default for any email-related activities because it's the stock app for doing so. Unfortunately, after deleting the Mail app (post-iOS 10), iOS won’t redirect mail:to links to your favorite third-party email app when you tap on them.
