The new Apple TV 4K will go up for preorder on September 15th, and will be released the following Friday, September 22nd. While there are other small features, the biggest additions is 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision support.
Although Apple didn't talk about macOS High Sierra during its keynote today at the Steve Jobs Theater, the company has refreshed the macOS High Sierra Preview webpage with an official release date for the forthcoming software update.
After the end of Apple's jam packed media event, Apple released the final GM builds of iOS 11, tvOS 11, and watchOS 4.
Apple's next-generation iPhone X is packed full of advanced features like Face ID and an edge-to-edge OLED Super Retina display, and it can be yours for as little as $999. Yes as the rumors predicted, the handset's starting price tag comes in at just under $1,000. That's for the 64GB version, there is also a 256GB version that will set you back $1,149.
Your only color choices will be silver and space gray, and you'll be able to pre-order the iPhone X beginning October 27. The handset will actually be in stores on November third. Here is a list of the countries where will be initially available:

So, who plans on getting an iPhone X?
Apple briefly talked about a new version of AirPods at its presentation today at the Steve Jobs Theater, mentioning that an improved set of earbuds come with a case that supports wireless charging via industry-standard Qi wireless charger.
Apple today showed off another cool feature of iPhone X—Animoji (stop me if you've already heard it).
Apple's facial recognition successor to Touch ID is here, and it is called Face ID. Now you can unlock your phone, authenticate Apple Pay, and create expressive animated emoji with just your face.
During today's event legendary "one more thing..." section, Apple announced the iPhone X (pronounced iPhone 10). Matching up with the majority of the rumors, the handset features an OLED edge-to-edge to display and several other advanced features.
DisplayThe Super Retina Display, as Apple calls it, is a 5.8-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 and 458ppi. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 tech for better colors, has a one million-to-one contrast ratio, 3D Touch of course, and supports Apple's True Tone color.
Face IDBecause the display is edge-to-edge, there is no more Home button. Its tasks will be split up among a few features: Siri is now activated by the side button, going to the Home screen and exiting apps is now done via a slide gesture, and unlocking the phone is now done with Face ID.
As the rumors predicted, Face ID is used to unlock your phone via facial recognition. Using a host of new sensors, Face ID recognizes authorized users quickly for access to your phone, Apple Pay and other protected apps. It uses a TrueDepth camera and a neural engine inside the new A11 processor, and Apple says it adapts over time and works regardless of if the user is wearing a hat or glasses.
And the fancy new face-recognition tech isn't just for security, it also has some fun applications. Apple has introduced Animoji, which basically embeds your voice and facial expressions into an animated emoji that you can share with friends in a mini video-like form. It sounds gimmicky, but it actually looks pretty cool.

A new color filter, deeper pixels and an improved Apple-designed image signal processor delivers advanced pixel processing, wide color capture, faster autofocus in low light and better HDR photos. Plus, the new quad LED True Tone Flash offers twice the uniformity of light and includes Slow Sync, resulting in more uniformly lit backgrounds and foregrounds.
Other featuresThe iPhone X starts at $999 and comes in 64GB and 256GB flavors. Pre-orders will begin on October 27, with the phone actually launching on November 3.
The new iPhone 8/Plus will be the first iPhone to include wireless charing. Utilizing the Qi wireless charging standard, you will soon be able to charge your iPhone 8 in many places just by setting it down.
Included in the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is Apple's powerful new processor, the A11 Bionic. Apple says it is the smartest, and most powerful processor ever in a smartphone.
Apple today unveiled the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at the Steve Jobs Theater. The new devices feature glass sandwich design reinforced by a stainless steel band. The phones use the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, have True Tone Retina HD displays (LCD-based), 25 louder stereo speakers and deeper bass than iPhone 7.
Apple SVP Eddy Cue is on stage now at Apple's event to announce the new 4K Apple TV. In addition to the hardware, Cue made a couple of major ( and frankly, surprising) announcements regarding 4K content in iTunes.
Apparently, when iTunes rolls out its 4K content, it will be priced the same as high definition content. So no need to worry about that big price gap between 4K and HD that you've seen in physical media. Also, folks wondering what happens to all of their previous HD purchases will be happy to hear that Apple will upgrade them to 4K versions (where available) for free.

These are nice surprises indeed, given that folks were expecting to pay more for new and upgraded 4K content, and should help push Apple TV 4K sales.
