How to track your child’s iPhone with MobiPast [sponsored]

Although iOS offers some features that help you restrict what a child can or cannot do on his iPhone, there is still no simple way to closely monitor their texts messages, phone calls, Facebook and WhatsApp conversations and more.

This is exactly what MobiPast can provide: a simple and efficient way to track what your child does on his iPhone (or other device), making sure he doesn't cross the lines and potentially puts himself at risk. This is a method that definitely raises privacy concerns, but you can't argue that privacy comes second when it comes to the safety of your kids.

For this to work, both the monitored and monitoring devices will have to be jailbroken. First download the MobiPast app on your iPhone or iPad, then install the invisible monitoring app on your child's iPhone.

After that, you can open the MobiPast application on your cell phone or tablet and start secretly consulting copies of messages, calls, internet history, Facebook conversations, contacts, etc. Alternatively, you can monitor the device's activity directly from your desktop browser.

For more information on how you can track your kid's iPhone activity, make sure to visit MobiPast.com.

Helius redesigns your Lock screen music controls

The Lock screen has been an area of interest for jailbreakers for quite some time, which probably explains the popularity of tweaks such as LockInfo7 or Spectral. Some tweaks do things in a subtle way, others aim to take a fresh approach in order to bring a completely new design. This is the case of Helius, a new tweak developed by Phillip Tennen whose goal is to bring a new kind of music controls to your Lock screen...

Inbox Count keeps count of your emails in the Mail app

Prior to iOS 7, the Mail app would show you how many emails were in your inbox, which was a handy feature that would help you keep track of things. It's something that apparently didn't make the cut in iOS 7. One could speculate on the reasons behind this decision, but it wouldn't help much.

Enters Inbox Count, a new jailbreak tweak that brings back the old feature and helps you keep count of how many emails are in your inbox...

TouchPass allows you to unlock your iOS device with a tap

I'm not sure what's all the rage about tap-to-unlock tweaks these days, but there must be something in the air. After the recent release of TapToUnlock7 and SmartTap, a new tweak called TouchPass promises to let you unlock your iOS device with just one tap. Well, to be fair here, you'll still have to wake the device in order to tap to unlock so it's not just a one-tap unlock solution, but close enough...

TypeRead only sends iMessage read receipts when you start typing your reply

One great feature of iMessage is the ability to send read receipts to people who send you a text from an iOS device, basically letting them now that not only you have received their text, but you've actually read it too.

But what if, from time to time, you do not want the other person to know that you have read their message right away? Of course, you could turn off reader receipts altogether, but if you're looking for a little more flexibility, have a look at TypeRead...

i0n1c shows off video of Cyberelevat0r, his iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak

I'm not sure what i0n1c is better at: security research, or trolling?

In typical i0n1c manner, talented German researcher Stefan Esser has published a video demonstrating a jailbroken iPhone 5c running iOS 7.1.1. This is the same iPhone 5c that he showed off a few days ago in a photo shared online, but this time, we obviously get to see much more about what i0n1c calls the Cyberelevat0r jailbreak...

Start your morning off right with WhatAlarm [sponsored]

The folks at B&G present WhatAlarm, the alarm clock app that helps you get going in the morning by reading you the news, your reminders, appointments, weather conditions, as well as your horoscope.

WhatAlarm not only aims at waking you up but also telling you what your day looks like so you know ahead of getting out of bed. After opening the app to stop the alarm, WhatAlarm will kindly greet you and inform you about the weather for the day. Then it will read your reminders, the main news headlines, your horoscope, and finally will play your favorite radio station until you stop the app...

iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak for iPhone 5s showed on video

It looks like there is no shortage of jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1, with i0n1c recently teasing one, shortly followed by winocm. Georgia Tech student Yeongjin Jang is now the third person to come forward with a video demonstrating a jailbreak. Maybe more impressive than anything we've seen so far, Jang was able to jailbreak an iPhone 5s.

The jailbreak has seemingly been confirmed by i0n1c as well as our own sources (which is why we took longer than usual to report about this jailbreak)...
