Red Hat. – Different for the sake of better technology
When a flagship device launches, it's usually only a matter of time before some sort of controversy arises. There was #antennagate for the iPhone 4, #scratchgate for the iPhone 5, and last year's #bendgate for the iPhone 6. Now it's Samsung's turn to join the party.
The problem stems from inserting the Galaxy Note5's S-Pen in the wrong way, head first, instead of tip first like normal. Doing so makes the S-Pen catch on to a lever deep inside the pen cavity, causing it to get stuck.
Samsung has been no stranger to controversy before, but this new one, some have called it #pengate, or #penghazi, is more egregious than any so-called "-gate" we've seen before.
It's a number that's bound to raise some eyebrows: 220,000 iCloud accounts breached in what is being called a backdoor attack made possible by a malicious jailbreak tweak.
This leak, which was brought to our attention by /r/jailbreak, was reported by a Chinese online vulnerability reporting platform called WooYun. It's an information security platform where security researchers report vulnerabilities and vendors give feedback. WooYun is a legit site, and it has reported thousands of security related issues in this month alone.
On a post on its website, WooYun details the nature of this particular attack, stating that 220,000 accounts have been compromised as a result of a malicious jailbreak tweak or plug-in. It also states that WooYun has notified vendors—presumably Apple—and are awaiting processing.
It's sure to make any jailbroken iPhone user take note, but before you get too alarmed, understand that this hack has nothing to do with Apple's security, and that there appears to be special circumstances in the case of this breach.
QuickSwipe is a new tweak that brings swipe to dismiss functionality to videos playing in mobile Safari. The tweak is extremely simple and focused, contains no preferences, and is good to go upon installation.
After respring, begin playing a video in Safari and perform a swipe down gesture to dismiss the video and go back to the browser. If you find it annoying to have to tap the "Done" button to close a full screen video, then QuickSwipe is a tweak that you may enjoy using.
Apple's professional recording software, Logic Pro X, just received a big update that brings several new features to the table. The update, which beings Logic Pro X to version 10.2, introduces a new sample manipulation synthesizer dubbed Alchemy.
Alchemy is labeled as a next-gen synth plug-in with multiple sound generators and over 2,000 presents for all types of music genres like EDM, dance, and rock. It brings the ability to combine up to four synthesizer modules to create multi-layered sounds, and includes a wide selection of analog and special effect filters for producing complex sounds.
I personally use Logic Pro X to mix our two podcasts, but I know that I'm just scratching the surface of what this incredibly powerful app can do. And now, it just got that much more powerful with the introduction of Alchemy, support for the Force Touch trackpad, Apple Music Connect sharing, and more.

At the beginning of this month, the Apple Watch was made available at select Best Buy brick and mortar stores as a part of its first real foray into cultivating a traditional retail presence. As first reported by Fortune, Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly says that due to the Apple Watch's strong demand, not only is it increasing the Apple Watch's availability in its retail stores, but it's also looking to deepen its ties with Apple in general.

Docker is a new jailbreak tweak that doubles the capacity of your dock, allowing for up to eight different apps to reside there. BootLogoCustomizer is a brand new tweak that lets users customize the colors of the respring Apple boot logo. Customization is achieved by means of a simple preference panel found in the stock Settings app.
Although BootLogoCustomizer doesn't allow you to change the boot logo that appears when you first reboot your iPhone, it will let you change the one that appears on respring, and it will eventually show up on reboot after the unmodified logo is displayed for a few seconds.

Have you ever noticed how your iPhone's wallpaper is sometimes noticeably dark at the top of the screen near the status bar? That's because iOS automatically overlays the wallpaper with a shadow gradient. This is done in an attempt to make status bar icons and assets more visible, especially on busy wallpaper backgrounds.
But not everyone wants to have their wallpaper modified by this shadow overlay, as it can change the true look of your wallpaper. WGradRemover is a new jailbreak tweak that helps jailbroken users easily remove the wallpaper gradient overlay.
The RIF6 Cube ($269 on Amazon) is a portable DLP projector that’s super-small at only 2”x 2”. You can literally fit this projector in your pocket and then use it to project an image from your iPhone’s screen up to 120”.
The main thing that the RIF6 has going for it is its size, or lack thereof. It’s so incredibly tiny, that it’s hard to believe that it can project anything, let alone a 120” picture.
The small size, though, is both a blessing and a curse for the RIF6. Due to its small size, it’s sub-HD at an 854x480 resolution. It also packs a speaker that features barely audible sound quality.
But I’ve decided that both of these downsides are things that most people will be able to live with, because you’re buying this projector for the incredible sense of portability and flexibility that it brings, not because it packs the latest and greatest features in projector technology.
