Pandora launches app for the new Apple TV

Pandora on Wednesday launched an application for the new Apple TV. You can find it by navigating to the App Store in tvOS, and scrolling through the Featured page where Apple currently has the app highlighted in the 'Best New Apps' category.

The new tvOS client is obviously somewhat limited compared to its iOS counterpart, but it will allow you to sign into your Pandora account and listen to your customized Radio stations. You can also access tabs like Create Station and Now Playing.

Tim Cook comments on Apple’s controversial new iPhone battery case

Tim Cook on Wednesday attended one of Apple's Hour of Code events in New York, where he fielded questions regarding his company's new iPhone battery case. Mashable's Lance Ulanoff asked the CEO if he was excited about the new case, which many folks have started referring to as "the hump."

"You know, I probably wouldn’t call it ‘the hump,'" he said, adding that Apple was well aware of the comments being made about the Smart Battery Case. He went on to talk about some of the advantages of it over competing products, such as how easy it is to attach and remove the case from your phone.

Satechi LED IQ Strip review: a simple app-controlled lighting kit

I’ve been playing with a cool smart lighting accessory over the past few weeks called the LED IQ Strip by Satechi. It’s a roughly 5-foot strand of multicolor LED lights that can be remotely controlled by virtually any Bluetooth 4.0 device.

Obviously this isn’t a groundbreaking product. There are several “smart” LED strips available these days—most notably the Philips Hue Lighstrip—I think its low price and ease-of-use make Satechi’s LED IQ Strip worth talking about.

iDB Holiday Gift Guide: Cody’s picks

One of my favorite things about the holidays is gift-hunting. Whether I'm looking for something to add to my own wish list, or shopping for others, I love trying to track down the perfect present. So as you can imagine, I enjoy taking part in iDB's annual Holiday Gift Guide.

My picks this year consist of both fun and practical gift ideas, that have proven to be well-made and well-reviewed. As you might have guessed, many of the suggestions are tech-related, but I did make sure to include a few non-tech ideas for those that prefer non-gadget gifts.

AT&T to increase price of grandfathered unlimited data plans in February

AT&T is going to announce a price hike for its grandfathered unlimited data plans early next year, reports CNBC. The outlet announced the news on Twitter this afternoon, saying it has learned that the carrier plans to increase the price from $30 to $35 in February.

The move is unsurprising, given that Verizon announced earlier this year that it'd be raising the price of its own grandfathered unlimited plans, and the two carriers tend to follow each others leads. AT&T's price bump is significantly less though, at just $5 versus $20.

Verizon offering More Everything customers 2GB of free data to try out GO90 app

Heads up Verizon Wireless customers, the carrier is currently offering a limited-time promotion that awards free data to those on its More Everything plan. The promo is good for an extra 2GB for three months, and all you have to do to take advantage of it is download Verizon's GO90 app.

So for those of you on one of the aforementioned plans, grab GO90 from the App Store here or the Google Play Store here. Once it's downloaded, you should receive a text message from Verizon telling you that the free data has been activated on your account, along with an expiration date.

Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and unless you work in retail, chances are you have a long weekend coming up. And what better way to spend your extra free time than by watching one of the most popular film series in cinematic history: The Godfather Trilogy.

For a limited time, iTunes is offering the 3 movies, which follow the fictional Corleone crime family through the course of its history in the US and their homeland in Sicily, for just $9.99. That's a savings of at least $20 over its Best Buy and Amazon counterparts.

Vine update makes it super easy to remix your favorite videos

Vine on Wednesday announced a new update for its popular mobile video-sharing app. It appears that this is a backend update, as I didn't have to download anything to see the changes (although I did restart the app), but there are a few new features worth noting.

The first is a new audio remix option. With Remix, users can make their own creations with sound from any Vine with the touch of a finger. Just tap the [...] button beneath a Vine clip within the mobile app, and select "Make an audio remix" from the popup menu.
