The best accessories for the iPhone 15 Pro Max

One thing I always have a habit of doing is gathering an arsenal of accessories for my devices. I always like to be kitted out for whatever I might be doing any day of the week, and since my iPhone 15 Pro Max is always with me, there are some essential items that I always toss into my to-go bag that I bring pretty much anywhere I go. Even when I’m not traveling, there are certain accessories I always keep handy, such as on my nightstand.

Best accessories for iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In this piece, I’ll be discussing my top five favorite accessories that I use every single day for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and why I use them. With a little luck, perhaps you will find something on this list useful and consider picking one up for yourself.

My favorite iPhone 15 Pro Max accessories

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 wireless charger with MagSafe

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 MagSafe charger.

Belkin hit a home run with their Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 wireless charger with MagSafe, and to say it was future-proof when they originally released it several years ago would be a massive understatement because it’s still particularly relevant today.

This charger has been on my list for the past several MagSafe-compatible iPhones, and it only got better in the past year when the company added fast-charging support for the Apple Watch. Thanks to this, everything charges as quickly as possible since the MagSafe charging puck is an official 15W wireless charger for iPhones.

I love the forward-thinking design of this charger and I keep it on my nightstand so that I can charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and AirPods Pro 2 all at the same time. I love it so much that I own two of them – one for myself and one for my significant other.

Belkin’s 3-in-1 even remains relevant today as iOS 17 brings the new StandBy Mode feature to the iPhone. There’s just enough room to rotate your iPhone into landscape mode and still charge an Apple Watch of any size right beside it.

Built with durable materials, including the color-matched chrome metal frame, this charger feels resilient in your hand, and looks very Apple-esque on any desk.

You can pick up one of Belkin’s BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 wireless chargers with MagSafe from Amazon or from Belkin direct for $149.99, but you will often find it on sale on Amazon with free Prime shipping.

Zagg InvisibleShield Glass XTR3 screen protector

Zagg InivisibleShield Glass XTR Screen Protector for iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The first thing I always get when I pick up a new iPhone every year is the latest Zagg InvisibleShield screen protector so that I can rest assured I won’t end up with a shattered screen that will cost me hundreds of dollars to repair, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max was no different.

This year, Zagg’s major new screen protector was the InvisibleShield Glass XTR3, which features advanced Hexiom impact technology and a blue light filter that helps reduce eyestrain from prolonged display viewing periods.

What I love about Zagg’s Glass series of screen protectors over any other brand is the optical clarity, glass-like surface feel, ease of installation, anti-glare coating, and the no-questions-asked warranty. When the screen protector breaks, chips, or doesn’t install right the first time, I get a free replacement (I just pay shipping).

I’ve been using Zagg’s InvisibleShield Glass screen protectors on my iPhones since the iPhone 5, and I’ve never had a screen break on me while using them. In fact, I’ve only ever broke a screen protector maybe once or twice, which speaks to their superior build quality.

You can acquire one of Zagg’s InvisibleShield Glass XTR3 screen protectors for the iPhone 15 Pro Max from Amazon or from Zagg direct for $59.99, however Amazon offers free next-day shipping for Prime members.

AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe charging case (USB-C)

AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C charging case.

This is a fairly predictable recommendation, but the AirPods Pro 2 are perhaps the best wireless headphones that you can get for an Apple device, and the latest model (with the USB-C charging case) is the best option because it charges using the same USB-C connector that the new iPhone 15 Pro Max does.

With their amazing active noise cancellation capabilities, you can switch between transparency mode (hearing everything around you) and active noise cancellation mode (hearing nothing around you) with a simple gesture. There’s also a new mode that dynamically switches between the two based on when you start talking.

The AirPods Pro 2 help complete the Apple ecosystem by blending seamlessly into the iPhone user experience. You can easily take phone calls, control Siri commands, and more by making use on earbud-based gestures.

Another thing I love about the AirPods Pro 2 is that the wireless charging case snaps shut with magnets and features support for Qi wireless charging (with a magnet as well, to make it MagSafe-compatible).

You can acquire a pair of AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) from Amazon or from Apple direct for $249.99, however they go on sale very frequently on Amazon.

Smartish Gripmunk case with MagSafe

Smartish Gripmunk case for iPhone 15 Pro Max.

What iPhone case is Anthony using this year? Believe it or not, I’m not using a $60 case; rather, I’ve went with something a lot more affordable – the Smartish Gripmunk case with MagSafe. Shocker! I know right…

One of the things I always battle with when picking an iPhone case is choosing something that looks nice and feels good in the hand. It’s difficult to find something that checks both boxes, but the Smartish Gripmunk case does a great job of this by keeping its branding low-key, keeping the case design low-profile, and incorporating built-in side grips.

The side grips are the key feature of the Smartish Gripmunk case with MagSafe. The sides of the case are textured in such a way that there’s no chance of your iPhone slipping out of your hand, but adding to that, there are small recesses where your fingers can rest to strengthen your grip. It feels great, and it’s something you really need to feel to understand.

Like most cases, Smartish Gripmunk with MagSafe gives you full MagSafe charging capabilities, protects the camera with a raised lip, and offers real drop protection with air pocket corner technology. Good enough for me!

You can get a Smartish Gripmunk case with MagSafe from Amazon or from Smartish direct for just $19.99, but we think you’ll enjoy the faster and free Prime shipping of Amazon more.

Nomad USB-C Cable with Kevlar

Nomad USB-C cable with Kevlar.

The new iPhone 15 Pro Max features an unhinged USB-C port with full connectivity capabilities, and whether I’m charging my iPhone or connecting accessories to it, I depend on one of Nomad’s durable as f*** nylon-braided USB-C cables with Kevlar reinforcement.

Available in 0.3m, 1.5m, and 3m variants, you might choose one of these cables for charging with a wall charger that’s far away from the couch you’re sitting on, or to connect a non-wireless battery pack to give your device a boost on the go.

I have used Nomad’s cables for so long that I only just upgraded my Lightning cable from 6 years ago to the new USB-C version, and it still looks like new today. Given how much use it has seen, it’s a testament to just how durable these things are. The nylon outer sheath keeps the internals protected, while the Kevlar reinforcement prevents unwanted bending of the metal wires inside.

I also have a keen liking to Nomad’s cable connectors, although you’ll have to be careful as they’re quite large and won’t fit into the hole of every iPhone case. They fit just fine in my Smartish Gripmunk port hole, however.

You can get a Nomad USB-C cable with Kevlar from Nomad direct for $25-35, depending on the length that you choose.

Final thoughts

Everybody has different opinions as to what types of accessories belong in their daily lives, but these are some of the things I use every single day with my iPhone 15 Pro Max that I don’t think you could go wrong with.
