Apple Music Classics for iPad has the same features as the iPhone version, with an iPad-exclusive sidebar for quick access to typical sections like search and playlists.
Apple has released an iPad version of the Apple Music Classical app that arrived on the iPhone in March. The iPad version isn’t an all-new release. Instead, it’s an update to the existing iPhone app, which now combines native interfaces for both platforms.
The iPad interface takes full advantage of the tablet’s bigger display. A handy sidebar provides quick navigation with sections like Search, Listen Now, Browse, Library (Albums, Tracks, Artists, Recordings, Works and Composers), Playlists, etc.

The announcement was made on the AppleClassical account on X (formerly Twitter).
“Introducing Apple Music Classical designed specially for iPad,” reads the v1.1 changelog. However, you must have an Apple Music subscription to use the app.

The iPhone maker built the Apple Music Classical app using talent from its 2021 acquisition of classical music streaming service Primephonic. With Apple Music Classical, you get access to millions of recordings with up to 192 kHz / 24-bit lossless audio, of which thousands are available in spatial audio with Dolby Atmos.

You can search by composer, work, conductor and more, read detailed biographies, browse hundreds of Essentials playlists, and much more. Apple Music Classical is also available on Android, but not on desktop platforms like macOS or Windows.
