TelegramStoryConfirm adds two-step confirmation for Telegram users who upload Stories

The Telegram app, often used as a communication medium when users want to enjoy the peace of mind of end-to-end encrypted messaging, also sports a feature called Stories where users can share unique moments of their lives with other Telegram users.

Uploading to the Telegram app’s Stories feature is easy; in fact, perhaps too easy, as iOS developer CydiaGeek has just released a new and free jailbreak tweak called TelegramStoryConfirm that compels the end user to confirm that they want to upload something as their Story before they do.

In incorporating a two-step process to upload to Telegram Stories, users are better protected from accidental and potentially embarrassing Story uploads that would otherwise be seen by other users.

With it, users are presented with a confirmation pop-up that asks the user to confirm that they actually want to upload to their Telegram Stories before it’s allowed to go through, as shown above. Only if the user taps on the “Yes” button will the content be uploaded and published. Alternatively, tapping on the “Cancel” button prevents the Story from being uploaded and shared.

According to the developer, a bit of haptic feedback is also built into the TelegramStoryConfirm tweak, making it not only useful, but also a pleasure to use.

If you’re a Telegram user with a jailbroken iPhone or iPad and value such functionality, then you can download TelegramStoryConfirm for free from the BigBoss repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices.
