Give Control Center a facelift on MacDirtyCow devices with CC UI

Taking an interest in a newly designed Control Center interface doesn’t make you weird, it just means you recognize that Apple’s interfaces are starting to feel a bit dated, and a MacDirtyCow add-on called CC UI by iOS developer PhucDo can help make things look fresher.

CC UI is a refreshing new look for Control Center for MacDirtyCow devices.

As you can see in the screenshot examples above, CC UI provides a new set of icon glyphs for your Control Center buttons and modules that look entirely different when compared with the stock ones — but more than that, I’d argue that they look even better.

Because CC UI is a MacDirtyCow exploit-based add-on, you don’t need a jailbreak to install and use it. What’s more is it supports iOS & iPadOS versions 15.0-16.1.2, including Apple’s latest handsets, as you can see from the Dynamic Island appearing in the screenshot examples above.

If you’re into making your device stand out from a crowd where all other iPhones look pretty much the same, then CC IU might be a good place to start. Of course when it comes to themes, the value is in the eye of the beholder, and opinions vary from one person to the next.

If you’re interested in giving CC UI a try, then you can download it for free from the Misaka package manager app. Anyone who isn’t already taking full advantage of Misaka can follow our tutorial and walk-through post to learn more about it and how to install it.
