Apple TV 4K (2022) hits Apple’s refurbished store
As first spotted by MacRumors, the refurbished third-generation Apple TV 4K is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and major European markets like Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and others.

Key features of the third-generation Apple TV 4K
Introduced in October 2022, the third-generation Apple TV 4K swaps the A12 Bionic chip from 2018 for the newer A15 Bionic that first appeared in the iPhone 13 family in 2021. However, it has one high-efficiency CPU core disabled.
Thanks to the power of the A15 and increased RAM, the third-generation Apple TV 4K also enables support for HDR10+. The device also features a Thread radio required for Matter-based smart home accessories (not found in earlier models). The Siri Remote that comes with it features USB-C charging instead of Lightning.
Like-new Apple products
Instead of the original packaging, refurbished Apple TVs are sold in a new plain white box with all accessories and cables included. “All refurbished Apple TV models also include full functional testing, genuine Apple part replacements (if necessary) and a thorough cleaning,” the company notes.
Refurbished Apple gadgets are usually units that customers returned or demo products used in Apple’s retail stores. All refurbished Apple products are eligible for AppleCare+, the company’s extended coverage protection.
