TrollStore is a great way to enjoy hacks and UI enhancements on both jailbroken and non-jailbroken iOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 and 15.6 beta builds), and a new and free TrollStore-compatible add-on called SecondHand by iOS developer LeminLimez certainly grabbed our attention.
SecondHand offers two primary forms of customization, including:
- Displaying seconds in the Status Bar’s time display
- Displaying the current date in the breadcrumb links field
Like any TrollStore-enabled add-on, SecondHand comes by way of a perma-signable .ipa file. That app remains signed indefinitely thanks to the CoreTrust bug that powers TrollStore, and when you launch it, you will find yourself with toggle switches for each of the aforementioned functionalities.
As noted in the developer’s /r/jailbreak release post, location services access must be set to “Always” if you want SecondHand to run in the background.
At the moment, SecondHand does not support the MacDirtyCow exploit on devices running vulnerable firmware, but the developer is looking for ways to make it work.
