Countries getting iPhone 14 Plus in October

The iPhone 14 Plus uses Apple’s previous-generation A15 Bionic chip. It has upgraded dual cameras out the back and a large 6.7-inch display out the front.

Curiously, the iPhone 14 Plus marks the first time a non-Pro iPhone has offered a massive display. Apple’s press release even highlights that this is the phone for those who deem the Pro models with their stainless steel frame too heavy.

“This is a great option for those who want a much larger screen in a light and durable aluminum design,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing. Read: Setup tips for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Wait, when’s Emergency SOS via satellite arriving?

The Emergency SOS via satellite feature will be arriving via an iOS 16 software update in November. This will be initially limited to the United States and Canada.

Apple has said that the satellite service will be free for two years with the activation of any iPhone from the iPhone 14 family. After that, you’ll need to pay to continue using Emergency SOS via satellite, but Apple has yet to reveal pricing.
