TrollStore updated to version 1.0.10 with more improvements

Earlier today following the debut of iOS 16.0, iOS developer Opa334 released an update for the TrollStore perma-signing utility for iOS & iPadOS 14.0-15.1.1 with bug fixes and enhancements. And it now seems that a second update to TrollStore has been released Monday evening.

TrollStore version 1.0.10 is now available to the general public with even more bug fixes and general UI improvements that will make the user experience smoother. Citing the change log on the project’s GitHub page, this is what’s new in the latest update:

  • Fix a bug where TrollStore could crash on launch (OTA udpates via tar should still be working in this state though)
  • Implement a visual improvement to the TrollStore app’s border

Existing users have several ways to choose from when it comes to installing this TrollStore update, including the use of an OTA link from the developer or using a third-party Shortcuts app extension that we showed you last week. Alternatively, users may also go about this the manual way from the project’s GitHub page.

TrollStore has become increasingly popular over the past couple of weeks as users recognize just how powerful this utility is. It can permanently install any .ipa file (modified or not) on your iPhone or iPad on a supported firmware with the help of an exploit. Perma-signing means that users won’t need to re-sign those apps every seven days as they would need to with sideloading alternatives such as AltStore or Sideloady.

It’s worth noting that TrollStore can only be installed on iOS & iPadOS 14.0-14.8.1 if you’re jailbroken, while it can be installed in a jailed state on iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1. If you need help installing this tool on your jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14 device, then you can follow the steps in our recent tutorial.
