This new jailbreak tweak makes your Lock Screen’s date display more compact

Your iPhone’s Lock Screen displays the date just underneath the time so that you can always reference what day it is from a convenient place. But it’s worth noting that some people like to format their dates differently than others.

While Apple doesn’t provide any native options for changing the date format on the Lock Screen, a new and free jailbreak tweak called compact date by iOS developer ElioFegh can, at the very least, make the date’s format more compact such that it takes up less room on your Lock Screen.

In the before (left) screenshot above, you can see what the Lock Screen’s date display looked like before installing the compact date jailbreak tweak, while the after (right) screenshot above displays the Lock Screen’s date display after installing the tweak.

This might seem like a trivial change to some, but depending on how you prefer your dates being formatted, it just might be the tweak you need to give your Lock Screen that personal aesthetic it needed all this time.

It’s worth noting that compact date doesn’t come with any options to configure, so what you see is ultimately what you end up with.

Those interested in giving the new compact date jailbreak tweak a try can download it for free from ElioFegh’s personal repository via their favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 12, 13, and 14 devices only.

If you aren’t already using ElioFegh’s personal repository, then you can add it to your package manager app right now by using the URL that we’ve embedded below:
