Customize the App Library & Today view backgrounds with Vortex

Hyperixa is out with yet another new jailbreak tweak, this time putting wallpaper imagery from different facets of the iOS operating system into focus.

The new jailbreak tweak, dubbed Vortex, allows users to set unique wallpaper images for the Today view (widgets page) and App Library (final page of the Home Screen).

Without Vortex installed, the background of the aforementioned interfaces typically takes form as a blurred version of your Home Screen wallpaper. With Vortex, on the other hand, the background image can be different than your current Home Screen wallpaper, and it won’t be blurry.

Once installed, users will find a dedicated preference pane in the Hyperixa app where they can customize Vortex to their liking:

Things you can do here include:

  • Toggle Vortex on or off on demand
  • Enable and select a custom Today view background image
  • Enable and select a custom App Library background image

One of the things we really like about Vortex is that you can customize the App Library and Today view backgrounds independently of one another, so they don’t need to be the same image.

If you’re ready to take the backgrounds of the App Library and Today view to the next level, then you can download the new Vortex tweak for free from Hyperixa’s repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices only.

If you’re not already taking advantage of Hyperixa’s repository, then you can add it to your package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
