Home Widget, Playdate Calendar, Juked and other apps to check out this weekend

Welcome back to another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great picks for you, including a widget maker for Home Kit devices, a game release calendar and an app for esports fans. And as always, we’ve selected a great new game for you to check out.

Home Widget for HomeKit

Whether you own one HomeKit-friendly smart device, or several, this app is for you. Home Widget enables you to interact with your entire HK universe, right from the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPad. It supports accessories, scenes, sensors and even cameras—you can open a live feed with just a quick tap on the widget. Tons of customization and possibilities here.

Letterfall

Looking for your next word game fix? Letterfall is a fast-paced and challenging word game that will push your reflexes and vocabulary skills to the limit. It’s kind of like a cross between word search and Tetris. You must spell words from the falling letter tiles to get as many points as you can before the letters reach the top.
