Welcome back for another episode of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have a digital makeup assistant, an emoji-focused goal and mood tracker, and a handy app for guitar players. And as always, we’ve selected a great game for you to check out.
Unotone
This is kind of a neat idea. It’s an app that helps you to match your skin tone with the appropriate foundation and other cosmetics. Just use the camera to capture your skin tone, match it with colors in the library, and the app will give you a list of brands and products that match it.
Emojical: Fun Emoji Calendar
If the typical mood and goal trackers aren’t for you, check out Emojical. As you can tell by the name and screenshots, this app aims to make entering emotions, goals and other events, fun with a focus on emojis. You can track exercise, what you eat, your mood, and much more.
GuitarApp – Tuner & Metronome
Whether you’re just a beginner or the guy that busts out his guitar and sings Wonderwall at parties (ahem Sebastien), GuitarApp seems worth checking out. It has a bunch of helpful tools: tuner, metronome, chord and scale finder, as well as a built-in drum machine and YouTube stream for lessons, gear reviews and more.
Maximus 2
I LOVE the art in this game. It’s a co-op fantasy brawler that focuses on satisfying, crunchy combat. You can fight solo or with up to 4 players, with your pick of 6 different heroes who possess their own roles and weapons. There’s also a story mode that’s a single, continuous shot—no cuts from level to level.
