Refurbished M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro models now available from Apple

It hasn’t been all that long since Apple launched the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, either one equipped in the brand new, redesigned 14- or 16-inch MacBook Pro models. But if you’ve been waiting for the company to welcome the laptops to its refurbished online store, then good news. Your wait is over.

Apple on Friday started selling both the M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro models via its online refurbished storefront. As is par for the course, you’ll be getting a technically used laptop for your effort, but you’ll be saving some money upfront. In this case, depending on the model, you can save between $200 and $350, which is definitely nothing to sneeze at.

Remember that the 14-inch MacBook Pro kicks things off regarding price points, which normally starts at $1,999. If you want to go with this model you’ll fork over $1,799, so you’ll save the $200. In that case you’ll get the M1 Pro chip under the hood, an 8-core CPU, and 14-core GPU. That’s the cheapest option.

The most expensive variant will set you back $3,149, but that’s a savings of $350 (as it normally costs $3,499). If you opt for this variant you’ll get the M1 Max processor to help you get things done, which is coupled with a 10-core CPU and 32-core GPU.

Both silver and Space Gray color options are available, too.

So, if you’ve been wanting to get Apple’s newest and most powerful laptops, but didn’t want to pay full price, now might be the best time to pick one up. As is customary, Apple covers its refurbished products pretty well, starting with a one-year warranty. Plus more:

  • Full functional testing, genuine Apple part replacements (if necessary), and a thorough cleaning
  • The original Operating System or a more recent version
  • All refurbished devices are repackaged in a brand new box with all accessories and cables

So, who’s getting themselves a brand new 14- or 16-inch MacBook Pro?
