With the release of iPadOS 15.4, Apple made the brand new wallpapers for the iPad Air 5 available. Similar to the wallpapers of the iPad Air 4 that we shared with you in the past, these bring a slight variation to an otherwise identical look and style.
You can download the new iPad Air 5 wallpapers right here. These are the official wallpapers. They come in 5 different colors, each in both Light and Dark mode, making for an impressive collection of 10 backgrounds you can add to your Home or Lock screens.
The good news is, you don’t need to download iPadOS 15.4 to enjoy these new background images as we extracted them straight out of the official IPSW file. The only difference is that we change the HEIC files to JPG for easy sharing and publishing. Other than that, they are exactly identical down to the pixel.
iPad Air 5 wallpapers
Note that while these are wallpapers made for iPad, they will work just fine on your iPhone. However, they might look a little off on your computer. This will depend on your screen size and resolution.
For those of you that are curious about the details, this wallpaper collection is officially called Ribbons. As mentioned above, it comes in 5 different colors available in either Light or Dark mode variants: Blue, Gray, Pink, Purple, and Starlight.
I don’t know about you, but I am really liking the sharp contrast of the Blue, Pink, and Starlight wallpapers in their Dark variant. They really pop on my old iPad Pro screen. I can’t imagine how good these wallpapers would look on an OLED iPad screen, whenever that will be available.
