Apple releases iOS 15.3.1, iPadOS 15.3.1, macOS 12.2.1, and watchOS 8.4.2

Apple is issuing minor software updates to several of its platforms today. The primary goal is to fix some lingering issues across the board. However, it doesn’t look like there are any major forward facing features in the mix this time around.

On Thursday, Apple released iOS 15.3.1, iPadOS 15.3.1, macOS Monterey 12.2.1, and watchOS 8.4.2 to the public. As is par for the course, each of these software updates are free to download and install. They are meant to address bugs and patch them up, while also improving the overall quality of life of the individual software platforms.

There are some important additions, though. First, with iOS 15.3.1, the software update addresses an issue that can cause some Braille displays to stop responding.

Here are Apple’s release notes for iOS 15.3.1:

iOS 15.3.1 provides important security updates for your iPhone and fixes an issue that may cause Braille displays to stop responding.

Meanwhile, Apple has a patch for the Bluetooth battery drain issue for MacBooks that updated to macOS Monterey 12.2. That’s what macOS Monterey 12.2.1 is for.

And finally, watchOS 8.4.2 also addresses some lingering bugs.

The new software updates are available now.
