Watch the trailer for the family-friendly animated series ‘Pretzel and the Puppies’ ahead of its February 11 premiere date

Some projects for Apple TV+ get plenty of attention long before we ever see a trailer. We hear about initial casting or even just that a certain director/writer is attached to a project Apple has secured for its video streaming service. Less often, though, is a project that ultimately goes under the radar almost entirely until its premiere date.

In the case for Pretzel and the Puppies, it would fall into the latter category. The project hasn’t picked up a lot of attention up until now, when Apple TV+ is sharing the first official trailer for the new animated series. Which is pretty strange, considering the new show is made from the same folks who created the hit Curious George. This show stars Mark Duplass (The Morning Show) as Pretzel, “the world’s longest dachshund”.

You can check out the trailer above. The new show will premiere on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Pretzel and the Puppies is based on the children’s book of the same name, which was written by H. A. Rey and Margaret Rey, which is a sequel to Pretzel. The upcoming book is set to launch on March 1, 2022. The original Pretzel was published in 1997.

This looks like a pretty straightforward kid-friendly animated show, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Do you think Pretzel and the Puppies will be as popular as a very curious monkey turned out to be?
