This new jailbreak tweak brings landscape orientation support to the Music app

On an ordinary iPhone, the native Music app is only designed to be used in portrait orientation. But forward-thinking iOS developer ETHN is changing that with a new jailbreak tweak dubbed LandscapeMusic.

Once installed, LandscapeMusic adds landscape orientation support to the Apple Music app. Citing the developer, the landscape interface replaces the app’s traditional Now Playing appearance with one that draws heavy inspiration from the CarPlay interface.

The tweak doesn’t outright replace the portrait orientation of the Music app, but since the app doesn’t usually support landscape orientation, it feels good to finally have that support by way of a jailbreak tweak.

LandscapeMusic doesn’t come with any options to configure, so once it’s installed, what you see is ultimately what you get.

If you’re interested in giving your Apple Music app a more CarPlay-inspired landscape orientation-based user interface, then LandscapeMusic is available for $0.99 from the Havoc repository via any package manager app of your choosing.

The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices, and only officially supports the unc0ver jailbreak. In our testing, it appeared to work just fine with checkra1n as well.
