Chipolo introduces the CARD Spot wallet tracker with Find My support

The Find My network is one of the most helpful utilities Apple offers. And it became even better when the company introduced the ability for third-party companies to tap into that same feature. One of the first was Chipolo, which introduced the ONE Spot item tracker last year. And now the company is back with another tracking device.

Announced today during the run of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, Chipolo has just introduced a new wallet tracker called the CARD Spot. It’s small and lightweight, designed specifically to fit into many different wallets. The idea is pretty straightforward: lose or otherwise misplace your wallet, and the CARD Spot can you help you track it down.

As is the case with the ONE Spot, the CARD Spot is designed to work with the Apple Find My network. And with that, it opens the doors for better location abilities. The Find My network relies, in part, on Apple devices all over the globe. And those devices can use Bluetooth technology to help pinpoint a lost item. The feature is, of course, encrypted, and only the item’s owner can see where the item is — even as other Find My-equipped devices help track it down.

Review: The Chipolo ONE Spot

The CARD Spot is IPX5-rated for water resistance, and the battery inside the wallet tracker lasts up to 2 years. The CARD Spot is also capable of playing an audible tone, up to 105dB, to help you locate your wallet. And Find My can send a notification when you accidentally leave your wallet behind, too.

The CARD Spot from Chipolo is available to pre-order starting today from the company’s website. It retails for $35 for a single wallet tracker, or you can get a two-pack for $60.
