Apple seeds first iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 public betas to public beta testers

Last week, Apple seeded the first betas of iOS 15.3, iPadOS 15.3, watchOS 8.4, and tvOS 15.4 to developers. So of course the company needs to move forward with the public beta testing, too. And today Apple is doing just that.

On Monday, December 20, 2021, Apple seeded the first public betas of iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 to public beta testers. This new prerelease software is the corresponding beta to the developer beta Apple seeded recently. That means that the public beta should be the same as the developer. It should not be installed on a daily driver, as the software is probably a little rough around the edges.

The prerelease software is designed for testing purposes only. So if you don’t want to run into any potential issues on your primary device(s), stay away from the beta for now. There’s no word on what’s new in this beta, if anything, but if that changes we will update this post accordingly.

The latest beta can be downloaded from Apple’s dedicated beta program website, once devices have the proper registration profile installed. Future betas will be able to be downloaded and install as over-the-air updates.
