Welcome back to another episode of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great picks for you, including a language-learning buddy, a gentler workout coach, and an app for positive affirmations. And as always, we’ve selected a great new game for you to check out.
Able: 28-Day Affirmation Plan
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea that daily affirmations — saying and thinking positive things — can have a significant impact on your life. Able hopes to prove that with their 28-Day Affirmation Plan. Whether you want to boost your mood, calm your anxiety or achieve personal growth, this app has a plan for you.
Gentler: Approach to Fitness
Continuing the ‘self-improvement’ trend, here is Gentler. The app takes a unique approach to fitness coaching by monitoring your activity levels via Apple Health metrics and serving up next-step suggestions. Should you increase your workouts and activity? Slow things down a bit? Take a rest day? Gentler will let you know.
Brill App
I promise I didn’t intend for there to be a theme this week. Anyway here’s Brill, an app that serves up iOS widgets with the intent of helping you (slowly) learn a new language. Each widget will cycle through the 1,000 most commonly used words, 1 word per day, in 3 languages: Spanish, French and Dutch. Ouais, pas plus stupide!
Red Ball Super Run
Do you like epic free-runners with a bunch of obstacles to avoid and costumes and weapons to unlock and bosses to defeat? If not then I don’t know what to tell you, but if yes, check Red Ball Super Run. It’s a sequel to the original smash hit Red Ball 4 and it offers all of the stuff mentioned above, and much more.
