WidgetGrid, Todoodle, Minimal and other apps to check out this weekend

Welcome to another episode of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great selections for you, including a minimal writing app with powerful features and a clever chart-to-widget utility. And as always, we’ve picked a fun new game for you to check out.

WidgetGrid

Here’s a fun utility for all of you chart nerds out there. WidgetGrid makes it easy for you to turn your spreadsheets into data-driven widgets on your Home Screen. You can choose from various layouts and templates, such as expense trackers and todo lists, and your widgets are fully customizable.

Todoodle – Do More Together

I really like the ideas behind this todo list app. It has you focus on one important thing to get done each day, so no complex todo lists or reminders to setup. It also has a sharp UI and some nice features like streak-tracking. Plus, you can even invite your friends to join you in accomplishing tasks/goals.

Most intriguing to me: publish notes as websites, collaborative writing, add todos to your Calendar app and sync everywhere.

Downhill Smash

From the creators of Cut the Rope and Crossy Road comes the unique physics-based game Downhill Smash. In it, your goal is to build the ultimate zombie-smashing machine and race your way through a wacky post-apocolyptic world. And if that doesn’t sound fun, well then I just don’t know what to tell you.
