Twelve South launches the PowerPic mod, a redesigned wireless charger and picture frame

Twelve South is a company known for making great accessories for a range of Apple devices. Wireless chargers, for instance, are one such option. A few years ago the company launched a wireless charger that actually doubled as a picture frame, one of the more unique charging solutions out there. And now they are back with a new version, which looks even better than the first.

We were pretty big fans of the original version of the PowerPic. But this new version stands out with its brand new design. The PowerPic mod is a striking wireless charger doubling as a picture frame made from a lucite frame. The wireless charger can be used in either portrait or landscape mode. And it can be customized with either a 4×6 photo or graphic. In the promotional video Twelve South put together, which you can watch below, there are a variety of different photo options and customizable options to help spruce up the PowerPic mod.

The connector on the charger itself is a USB-C port, and Twelve South does include a USB-C cable in the box. However, you’ll need to have a 20W USB-C power adapter handy, or pick one up to use the wireless charger.

The PowerPic mod is a Qi-enabled wireless charger. So it will charge a variety of different iPhone models, including the newest iPhone 13 models. It will also charge the AirPods Pro. And of course, it will charge other Qi-enabled smartphones as well, including Android devices.

PowerPic mod is great looking wireless charger, but you can truly make it your own by adding a 4×6 photo or graphic. Just remove the magnetic front of the lucite frame, add a photo and you’re done. You can use any portrait or landscape image to match your room’s decor, rep your favorite team or flash your current vibe.

The PowerPic mod is available starting today directly from Twelve South’s website. It’s priced at $59.99 and comes in either white or black. Twelve South still offers free shipping in the United States, an included one-year warranty, and free returns within 30 days.

What do you think of this unique wireless charger? Will you be picking one up?
