Apple today confirmed an official release date for the highly anticipated macOS Monterey update. In the press release for its new MacBook Pros, the company noted that macOS Monterey will be available to the public on October 25.
First announced back in June, macOS Monterey includes a number of new features such as SharePlay, which enables you to share video and audio experiences across FaceTime, Quick Notes, Focus, Shortcuts for Mac, and much more.
The update will be available as a free download for compatible Macs and MacBooks. That includes MacBooks from 2016, MacBook Airs and Pros from 2015, Mac Pros from 2013, minis from 2014 and iMacs from 2017, and later models.
