The HomePod mini is now available to buy in New Zealand

Earlier this month, Apple confirmed that availability of its smallest smart speaker, the HomePod mini, was expanding to a few different regions. That started with launches in Austria and Ireland. The wait for a launch in New Zealand is now over, too.

Apple has officially launched the HomePod mini in New Zealand (via MacRumors). The price is set at NZ$159. It’s available in both Space Gray and White color options, so no surprise there. However, the one thing to be aware of is that while the smart speaker is available to buy now, shipping is a ways out.

According to Apple’s online storefront, shipping is between two weeks and three weeks. That’s with the free shipping option. At the time of publication, paying for faster shipping isn’t an option.

As mentioned above, Apple confirmed that the HomePod mini’s availability would be expanding into new markets throughout June. Last week the smaller smart speaker, which features built-in Siri functionality, launched in Austria and Ireland.

There’s still plenty of room for growth, of course. Apple launched the HomePod mini, which is a smaller variant of the original HomePod, in late 2020. At the time, the speaker was available in the United States, Canada, France, Australia, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom, and a few other countries.

Do you own a HomePod mini? If so, how do you like the small smart speaker?
