Apple releases 14.2.1 software update for the HomePod and HomePod mini

It’s not a major software update, but today Apple released a minor software update for its smart speaker lineup.

On Monday, Apple released software update 14.2.1 for both the HomePod and its smaller brethren, the HomePod mini. At the time of publication it remains unknown what the new software actually brings to HomePod owners. Apple’s release notes are pretty barebones, saying the new software adds “general performance and stability improvements”, which is basically the bare minimum.

However, if there are any new discoveries made with the public release of software 14.2.1, we will update this post accordingly.

The HomePod and HomePod mini will update its software automatically. However, you can check out the tutorial just below to manually manage the process, too.
