Station Rotation, Mockup, Den for RSS, and other apps to check out this weekend

Apps of the week

In this week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup we have a music app curated by real artists, a new minimal RSS reader, and a full-screen browser with support for streaming gaming services. And as always, we’ve selected some new games for you to check out.

Station Rotation

This is an interesting idea: Station Rotation is a curated music station with tracks selected and updated by a roster of artists. It’s a nice alternative to algorithm-driven music, and everyone hears the same songs at the same time like real radio. Downside: it only supports Spotify right now.

Den for RSS

Here’s something you don’t see much anymore: a new RSS feed reader. Features include a very content-focused, minimal interface, support for RSS, Atom and JSON-Feed formats, dark mode, Mac and iOS apps, and I especially like that it doesn’t require an additional account or subscription.

Stadium Full Screen Browser

Stadium is not itself a game, but you can use it to play them. Since it’s a full-screen browser with user agent support, you can use it to play games on web-based streaming services like Google’s Stadia and Amazon Luna. It even supports controllers. Fingers crossed Apple doesn’t pull this one.

In this near-future social media world, you’re charged with photographing the inside of an opulent building: —but beware: the house is getting to know you too, perhaps better than you know yourself.
