Publisher Annapurna Interactive has announced the release date for “The Pathless,“ its eagerly-awaited mythic adventure of an archer and an eagle set in a vast forest — on Thursday, November 12, “The Pathless“ will make its simultaneous debut on Apple Arcade, the PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 4 and Epic Game Store.
Featuring stunning graphics, breathtaking scale and immersive gameplay like most of the titles released by Annapurna Interactive, “The Pathless“ has been developed by Giant Squid. This open-world adventure game will be available free of charge across the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV with an Apple Arcade subscription.

“The Pathless“ was supposed to be one of the most prominent launch titles for Apple Arcade that Apple heavily featured in a promotional push for the service. However, the game took longer to develop than originally anticipated so it was omitted from the initial wave of Apple Arcade titles.

Developed by the award-winning team behind ABZÛ, ‘The Pathless’ sees players take on the role of the Hunter, a master of archery who travels to a mystical island to dispel a curse of darkness that grips the world. The Hunter must forge a connection with an eagle companion to hunt corrupted spirits, in turn being careful to not become the hunted. Players will explore misty forests full of secrets, solve puzzles in ancient ruins and be tested in epic battles. The bond between the Hunter and eagle and the fate of the world hang in the balance.
