The official Apple Store app has picked up Dark Mode support

Apple’s official mobile shopping app was updated on the App Store yesterday with a single new feature addition: support for the system-wide Dark Mode that debuted in iOS 13.

The free software was bumped to version 5.8, with the official changelog mentioning Dark Mode support and unspecified bug fixes. Like with other stock Apple apps, the Apple Store app automatically changes its appearance depending on your system-wide Dark Mode settings.

The darkened user interface takes advantage of a combination of true black and dark gray user interface elements to reduce eyestrain while using the software at night. Moreover, Dark Mode can conserve battery power on devices that are equipped with displays based on OLED technology, like the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS and iPhone X smartphones from Apple.
