New Apple TV+ thriller ‘Defending Jacob’ launches April 24 (trailer)

We first heard about an upcoming new thriller for Apple TV+ called Defending Jacob back in January, and now we have our first trailer for the upcoming series.

Apple TV+ has released the first official trailer for the upcoming limited drama series, with just over two minutes of footage. The series stars Chris Evans (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), and Jaeden Martell (It) and it tells the story of a family and a small Massachusetts town rocked by a “shocking crime”.

Here’s Apple’s description of the series, paired with the trailer:

In this gripping, character-driven thriller, a shocking crime rocks a small Massachusetts town and one family in particular, forcing an assistant district attorney to choose between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.

The series also stars J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards), Pablo Schreiber (American Gods), Betty Gabriel (Get Out), and Cherry Jones (Signs).

The limited series will arrive on the Apple TV+ app on April 24. Here’s the official trailer:

Based on the trailer, what do you think? Is this going to be another powerful series for Apple’s original video streaming service? Will you be checking it out when it arrives?
