Now available to pre-order, the new Brydge Pro+ keyboard integrates an oversized trackpad that’s designed to seamlessly work with cursor support in iPadOS 13.4.

The iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 software updates have expanded iOS 13.0’s half-baked mouse support with full support for wireless mice and trackpads complete with multi-touch gesture navigation, much better interactive cursor support and a few other perks.

Introducing the Brydge+ Pro keyboard

Brydge Technologies LCC has been making award-winning wireless keyboards and now the company has released a short video to demonstrate how its Brydge Pro+ keyboard attachment for the iPad Pro works with trackpad and pointer support in the iPadOS 13.4 update.

You can watch the embedded video right ahead.

Apple last week unveiled its new iPad Pro and MacBook Air models along with a Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Pro sporting a built-in trackpad and backlit scissor keys with 1mm travel.

If Brdyge’s promotional footage is anything to go by, robust cursor and trackpad support in the iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 software updates allows owners of this cool productivity accessory to perform multi-touch gestures for things like bringing up the Dock or accessing the app switcher, as well as take advantage of precise cursor positioning for accurate text editing and more.

Pricing and availability

Announced in January, the Brydge+ Pro keyboard also has backlit keys like the new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro and, or course, comes with an integrated trackpad.

The 11-inch version is priced at $200 while the 12.9-inch size will set you back $230. By comparison, Apple’s Magic Keyboard, arriving in May, is priced at $299 for the 11-inch iPad Pro version and $349 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model.

Here’s our video editor Harris Craycraft wondering whether the regular Brydge keyboard without an integrated trackpad can turn your iPad into a viable MacBook replacement.

The new Brdyge+ Pro keyboard should start shipping in mid-April.
