Buzz lets jailbroken iPhone users colorize the native Phone app

Owners of jailbroken iPhones who are looking for ways to customize the aesthetics of their native Phone app can now call upon the help of a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called Buzz by iOS developer Sirius24 to do just that.

As shown in the screenshot examples above, Buzz lets you colorize a plethora of Phone app user interface elements, including those appearing in the Favorites tab, the Recents tab, the Keypad tab, the Contacts tab, and more.

Upon installing Buzz, users will find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Enable or disable Buzz on demand
  • Configure colors for the Favorites tab:
    • Cell background
    • Names
    • Icons
  • Configure colors for the Recents tab:
    • Cell background
    • Dates
    • Counts
  • Configure colors for the Keypad tab:
    • Background
    • Button blurs
    • Dial buttons
  • Configure colors for the Contacts tab:
    • Header
    • Cell background
    • Cell text
  • Colorize the tab bar background
  • Colorize the navigation bar background
  • Customize the blank page color

The developer includes a Respring button at the top right of the preference pane for saving your settings on demand.

Buzz is compatible with jailbroken devices running iOS 13 & 14, and because it relies on the native Phone app, it only works with iPhones. Those interested in downloading the tweak can snag it for free from the Packix repository in their preferred package manager.
