Eco-friendly cases are picking up steam, with some major brands joining the trend as well. But for now it’s a movement being led by smaller third-party accessory makers.
A list of the best eco-friendly cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. We’ve put together options from a range of companies using materials like cork, wood, recycled ocean plastic, and more.
So let’s get right into it.
The best iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro eco-friendly cases
The Reveal natural, eco-friendly case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro is designed from cork. It’s lightweight and Reveal says it feels like leather. The company says the product is “100% cruelty free” and sustainable.
Moreover, cork as a material is naturally shock absorbent, and the case is also water resistant. The case is non-slip, and it’s thin enough to fit in a pocket. The interior of the case is made from TPU molding, adding an extra layer of protection.
The cork case from Reveal provides direct access to the Lightning port, as well as all buttons. The case also has a raised lip to protect the display. The case’s packaging is also eco-friendly, and Reveal says it plants a tree with every case sold.
The cork case for all three of Apple’s latest iPhones is available now in three options: beige, flower, and Japanese garden.
How about a combination of wood and resin for your phone case? Carved has an option for you. The company offers a phone case for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro that’s made from real wood burl and resin, with each case handcrafted by artisan carpenters. Each case has its own unique wood grain pattern, so no two cases look alike.
The wood backing is unique, and it offers a protective bumper case as well. It offers large port openings, making easy access to the Lightning port. The case itself can survive drops up to three feet, and it’s water resistant as well.
As mentioned above, Carved’s eco-friendly wood and resin case is available for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, so the iPhone 11 Pro Max owners will have to overlook this one.

Incipio is yet another one of the bigger third-party accessory makers joining the eco-friendly movement for phone cases. The company only recently unveiled its lineup of “Organicore” iPhone cases, with options available for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Organicore is a plant-based material that’s designed to be completely compostable. That means that when the case is disposed of, it will naturally re-enter the environment. The case itself is form-fitting to the phone you want, and it’s flexible, so it’s easy to install and take off when you need.
Incipio says its eco-friendly phone cases have been tested to protect the handset inside from falls up to six feet. They also use water-based ink as well. They also support wireless charging.
These Organicore cases from Incipio are available directly from the company’s website, and come in four color options: Black, Deep Pine, Oatmeal Beige, and Stone Gray.
Ocean75 offers up protective cases utilizing recycled ocean plastic. As you can see from the image just above, over 90 percent of the case is made from it. The amount of recycled plastic used depends on each case’s color. Specifically, Ocean75 says it collects and recycles fishing nets from the ocean to make the cases.
The cases offer a look that’s meant to remind owners of ocean waves. Packaging is also eco-friendly, with recycled cardboard and “no plastic window”. The cases themselves are recyclable as well, with Ocean75 even handling that step if you send the case back after you’re done with it.
What’s more, for every case sold Ocean75 donates £1 to one of five charities that are focused on ocean conservation. The full body case will protect the back and edges of your iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The Ocean75 eco-friendly case is available in Coral Pink, Deep Black, Dolphin Grey, Ocean Blue, and Turtle Green. It’s available to buy now.
Pela offers an eco-friendly case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max which is 100% compostable, meeting the ASTM D6400 standards for compostability. It’s made from flax straw shive, as well as a starch-based polymer. The flax straw is naturally shock-absorbent, and the case has a random speckled pattern so no two cases look the same.
Pela will also compost the device if you can’t do it yourself.
The case offers up quick access to the important buttons, as well as an opening for the Lightning port. The case has a natural grip texture, flexible, and doesn’t add any major bulk to your phone.
