Apple Music with Alexa is launching today on German Echo devices

According to a new report, Amazon customers in Germany who own an Echo smart wireless speaker or an Amazon Fire TV from the company, or an Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker, will be able to ask the Alexa assistant to play Apple Music content beginning later today.

German blog iFun.de discovered and reported on this earlier this morning. All that customers need to do before being able to use this functionality is set Apple Music as the default streaming service in the mobile Alexa app.

1) Open the Alexa app on your iOS device.

2) Tap the menu button button in the upper-left corner.

3) Choose Settings.

4) Choose Music from the list.

5) Under Account Settings, then hit Default Services.

6) Tap Apple Music.

An active Apple Music subscription is required. This handy feature is also available to users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
