Netflix’s ‘Smart Downloads’ feature now available on iOS

Several months after unveiling the feature, Netflix on Thursday said that Smart Downloads is now available in its iOS app. As you may recall, the option streamlines the process of accessing content to watch when offline.

More specifically, when you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network, Smart Downloads atomically deletes TV episodes you have finished, and downloads the next available one. Netflix says this allows you to spend less time managing downloads, and more time watching your favorite content.

To enable the feature, tap the down arrow icon in the Downloads section of the Netflix app > My Downloads > Smart downloads and toggle on or off. You can also find the toggle by tapping Menu > App Settings > Downloads.

The Netflix app is available in the App Store.
